BLESSINGS & cursings

Boy has it been an interesting week.

In my last entry I talked about my scholarship and the internship I got which was all very exciting! I should start my job in a week or two. Yay! I also mentioned in the blog the lump in my thigh. Well I went in for my MRI on Friday and it went pretty well. They wanted to do a contrast picture as well as normal ones so they gave me an IV before hand. I'm not a huge fan of IVs but it wasn't too bad. So I got all shot up :) and then they shoved me in the machine. It lasted longer than wanted but I had headphones so at least I heard music over the loud buzzing of the MRI machine. Anyhow, I left the doctors office and didn't really think much about it. I was honestly just expecting a phone call saying oh it's nothing! Have a good day. And I wasn't expecting the call for a couple days. Well, about 5 hours later a nurse called to say that the doctors all looked at my pictures and they still can't figure out what the mass is. So sometime this week I should get a call from a surgeon to set up an appointment for a biopsy. Crazy; I know. After I got off the phone with the nurse I kind of fell apart. I started crying and I called Josh. I knew if there was anyone who could help me feel better it would be him. We talked about reasons why I could be going through this. One possible answer we discussed was that it could be something that will come up in my life again and that this lump is making it so I am aware for if there is a next time. I could also be susceptible to these. Anyways after turning my tears to smiles I let him go. My brother and bishop came over and those two and my dad gave me a blessing. It was nice to be assured of the things that have been bothering me and to know that I will be fine. Anyways, I will probably have my biopsy sometime this week. Hopefully these results are better :)

Speaking of crazy stories...I woke up this morning, mother's day, and listened to the message on the answering machine. It was the lady that was supposed to teach relief society today saying she was sick and wouldn't be able to make it. Since it was mothers day and I knew it was my mom's job to cover I told her I would do the lesson for her. So with just over an hour to prepare a lesson I gathered what I could and headed to church. I had sacrament and Sunday school to prepare before relief society started which was good. I got there and it was a bit spacey at first but all in all I feel it went pretty well. It was an interesting lesson because I thought since it was mothers day I would be teaching on motherhood but I taught on the Melchizedek Priesthood. I learned quite a bit from preparing it though! And I got quite a few compliments. Anyways, it was a really beneficial experience and I hope I get to teach more often.

Anyhow, it's been quite the roller coaster of a week!
